This year on Christmas Day, my co-workers from Lakewood Animal Hospital in Coeur d’Alene and North Idaho Animal Hospital in Sandpoint will visit local shelters in those towns and my own hometown of Bonners Ferry, bringing gifts to all the dogs and cats, including toys generously donated by The Kong Company.

Will you be a part of helping homeless pets in your hometowns, too?

My daughter, Mikkel, and I have made a video appeal and put together a list of organizations and campaigns designed to help pets right here.

Will you post a promise on that page to do something for these wonderful pets who have so little? Let me know when you’ve fulfilled the pledge. Post stories, photos, links and tips for other pet lovers who want to help. Share this message with your friends and social media connections.

I’ll collect the stories and share them in a future edition of my free email newsletter and here on PetConnection.com, so we can all find out how people are helping the homeless and needy pets in their communities.

Find out what you can do to make these precious pets’ lives a little bit better, and to spread the message, here.
