A Southern California woman narrowly escaped injury Tuesday night when an alleged drunk driver crashed his SUV into her kitchen. Her dog, Cobra, may be the reason she wasn’t hurt in the freak accident.
Just before the crash, Felicia Cordoba had been in the kitchen talking on the phone with her sister. Suddenly Cobra bolted away. Cordoba ran to get him, and bang! The SUV plowed through the wall of her home and into her kitchen.
Did Cobra sense the imminent disaster? No news reports say just how long it was between him bolting and the crash (or where he ran, for that matter; outside, one would think). But since Cordoba credits his bolting with her safety, it seems Cobra may well have had an inkling that something not so good was about to take place. Maybe he already heard the car going wonky far down the street. Maybe he has ESP. Or maybe he just had to go do a leg lift.
Whatever the reason, great job, Cobra! Five people are displaced because of the accident, but at least they’re all alive.
